Brayam SEO

SEO SPECIALIST FOR CRYPTO COMPANIES

Brayam Rodriguez is a location-independent entrepreneur running an international SEO business. Since 2022, he has focused on helping cryptocurrency companies, blockchain projects, and Web3 organizations grow online.

Brayam became interested in crypto back in 2017. He purchased his first cryptocurrencies in December when Bitcoin peaked at $20,000, and like many, experienced the drop to $4,000. This taught him valuable lessons about how crypto works, and he’s been bullish ever since.

Based in Cotopaxi, Ecuador, Brayam has traveled to over 30 countries and lived in four. He actively invests in crypto and studies how blockchain projects can support underdeveloped regions. He understands how blockchain technology can promote equality and transparency and is committed to helping make that happen.

Through a connection with a friend and Web3 Academy founder, he was introduced to Web3. As an SEO specialist, this immediately sparked his interest, and he now explores the question: “How will SEO evolve in a Web3 world?”

With over seven years of experience advising companies, Brayam works closely with clients to integrate SEO into marketing strategies, improve linking structures, and achieve measurable organic growth in months.

Looking ahead, he aims to guide businesses, communities, and organizations in the crypto, blockchain, and Web3 space on using SEO to expand audiences, drive growth, and contribute to a brighter, more connected world.

SEO Case study

The company prefers to remain anonymous, but they allowed us to share their results through this Google Analytics screenshot.

Thanks to technical optimizations, consistent daily content creation, and a strong internal and external link-building strategy, their weekly organic traffic grew from 4,000 to 13,000 visitors.

In the first week of the project, Brayam Rodriguez focused exclusively on Technical SEO. This included addressing site speed, fixing broken links, optimizing image sizes, and cleaning up bloated JavaScript and CSS files.

Next, content optimization was tackled:

Pages with little to no traffic were either optimized for target keywords or removed to improve crawl efficiency.

Pages with traffic but not ranking on the first page were assigned dedicated keywords and enhanced with long-form, high-quality content, images, videos, bullet points, and proper header structures.

New content was created for important keywords that previously lacked dedicated pages.

Internal linking was structured around pillar content to eliminate orphaned pages and strengthen site hierarchy.

The third and final part was external link building.

350% increase in organic traffic within 7 weeks

234 keywords ranking in the top 3 positions, including 170 in Featured Snippets

No organic traffic to your Crypto website?

That Sucks. Let's Fix That.

There are few things more frustrating than spending hours on creating a beautiful website full of quality content, and then not getting the organic traffic it deserves.

What Is SEO For Crypto?

On Page Seo For Crypto

On-page SEO involves the strategies and actions implemented directly on a website to boost its rankings in search engine results. This includes optimizing content, meta tags, headers, keyword usage, and HTML elements, as well as enhancing the overall user experience. Essentially, on-page SEO focuses on improving the elements within your site that influence both search engines and visitors.

Off Page Seo

Off-page SEO encompasses the strategies and actions performed outside of your website to boost its rankings in search engine results. Unlike on-page SEO, it does not involve optimizing your site’s content or structure. These factors are largely beyond the direct control of the site owner. Examples include building backlinks, managing reviews on Google My Business, and improving local citations.

Technical SEO

Technical SEO is a critical component of any website or SEO strategy. Even with top-notch design and high-quality content, without proper technical SEO, your site may struggle to rank on search engine results pages. In the worst case, your website could fail to attract organic traffic because search engines cannot effectively crawl, index, or understand your content.

Link Building For Crypto

Link building involves acquiring backlinks from other websites in your niche and is a key component of any off-page SEO strategy. The process, often called “outreach,” involves connecting with other site owners and encouraging them to share your content. In the crypto space, link building focuses on securing links from within the crypto community to boost authority and visibility.

SEO for Crypto: 5 Things You Should Know

In 2021, Techjury reported that there were over 4,000 cryptocurrencies on the market.

This makes the crypto space extremely competitive. While nearly 2,000 of these coins have failed due to Ponzi schemes or losing value, competition remains fierce for the survivors.

Crypto projects rely heavily on marketing to grow.

However, for a blockchain project to thrive, traditional marketing alone isn’t enough. Integrating a strong SEO strategy is essential. With major advertising platforms banning or limiting crypto ads, smaller startups face fewer promotional options. This is where crypto SEO becomes crucial.

SEO for crypto is specifically designed to help blockchain projects gain visibility in search engines. It provides cryptocurrencies with the opportunity to compete in a crowded market. When paid traffic isn’t reliable, organic search traffic becomes your most valuable asset.

Below, we’ll dive into five key things you need to know about implementing SEO for crypto projects.

1. Keyword Research

If you take a class on baking pies, the first lesson is always about getting the crust right. While a pie has many layers, without a perfect crust, the rest won’t hold together.

Keyword research works the same way for SEO—it’s the foundation of your strategy. At its core, keyword research is the process of discovering the most effective search terms to use in your content, whether that’s articles, blog posts, or social media updates.

These keywords represent what people are actively searching for and directly impact your site’s rankings. Ranking for terms that your audience frequently searches for not only boosts visibility but also helps you understand how potential customers view the crypto market.

Here’s the catch: many businesses target the same popular keywords, which makes competition fierce. The solution is to focus on multiple relevant keywords for each piece of content, rather than relying on a single term, to improve your chances of ranking.

2. User Intent

User intent is the reason behind why visitors use specific keywords when searching online.

For example, someone searching for “Bitcoin alternatives” has a different goal than someone looking for “Bitcoin competitors.” The first wants to discover other coins besides Bitcoin, while the second is likely looking for coins performing as well as Bitcoin—perhaps hoping to find a more affordable option.

Understanding user intent is key to optimizing your crypto marketing strategy. It shows you exactly what your audience is seeking and guides you in creating content that meets their needs.

Google’s algorithms have evolved—simply targeting high-traffic keywords without providing value won’t work anymore. After completing your keyword research, focus on applying it in ways that genuinely help your users.

Rather than keyword stuffing, use a mix of long-tail and short-tail keywords strategically to strengthen your SEO and deliver meaningful results.

3. E-A-T

Many people view the crypto market as risky, and for good reason. Even experienced investors can get scammed, so newcomers are often even more vulnerable. This partly explains why major platforms have restricted or banned crypto ads.

To address safety and credibility, Google introduced the E-A-T framework.

E-A-T stands for Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness. While it’s not a direct SEO ranking factor, it strongly influences how Google evaluates your site.

Ask yourself: Do you demonstrate deep knowledge of your topic? Is your website secure (HTTPS instead of HTTP)? Do you clearly explain your opinions and back them up with evidence? If so, you’re following E-A-T principles.

In short, low-quality or unreliable content will be recognized by Google and can negatively impact your search rankings.

4. Link Building

Backlinks, also called inbound links, are links from other websites pointing to your site. Think of them as endorsements or “votes of confidence” from other web pages.

When respected, authoritative websites link to your content, it not only boosts your SEO performance but also signals to Google that your site is trustworthy, positively impacting your E-A-T score.

However, not all backlinks are equal. Only links from high-quality, authoritative sites provide real value. Low-quality or spammy links can harm your rankings rather than help. That’s why it’s essential to focus on white-hat link-building strategies. Using black-hat tactics may result in penalties from Google, undermining your site’s credibility and performance.

5. Quality Content

Content is arguably the most critical element of your SEO strategy. All the factors we’ve discussed—user intent, E-A-T, keyword research, and link building—come together here.

High-quality content isn’t limited to blog posts. It can include videos, ads, infographics, or any type of material that communicates your message effectively.

Even though cryptocurrencies have been around for over a decade, many people still don’t fully understand the market or trust it. This knowledge gap is an opportunity: by educating your audience, you can establish authority, build trust, and strengthen your SEO performance.

Should You Invest in Blockchain SEO?

Absolutely! The crypto space is highly competitive, and to stand out, prioritizing SEO in your marketing strategy is essential.

Even if you have a strong project or coin, without the right marketing approach, reaching the right audience will be a challenge.

Whether you’re focusing on on-page SEO or building off-site elements like backlinks, SEO for crypto is critical. It’s a long-term effort—it requires time, persistence, and careful planning—but the results are well worth the investment.
